I decided not to long ago that i'd shoot video of the recording on my album "Bringing Them Out," so as promised the work's being uploaded to vimeo.com/channels/jimipeakmusic

I am doing it like this because I feel it's important show the work, the heart and the time required to make a song sound great.  As I continue on as long as I can, remember I couldn't do it without the people that believed in me along the way...

Jimi Peak and "Bringing Them Out"

"History"

History" - A song I believe fell from the sky. The guitar riff, simplistic and melodic, came to me in 2003. The lyrics just flowed, came from spending too much time at the table of Harsh Rhetoric. I noticed attitudes of apathy destroying the world and saw it in everyone. It was a depressing thought, I needed to express it. This time around I am playing it different, the guitars don't drive the song just a part of it, so the keyboard starts it off. Arranging song and recording drums today. It's about time!!!

"Bringing Them Out" is coming together a piece at a time

Starting very soon, I am going to put myself to the music recording challenge.  The album "Bringing Them Out" represents my dream I had given up on. I had to learn some very difficult and hard lessons. According to Astrology, it was the planet Saturn effect on me... It lasted a long time and will release me from its clutch soon. Everyone has different stars and space, it's not so much timing as the universe releasing of the holds of the present on me.

I recorded 3 CD's worth of music by myself in a time that it wasn't meant to be. I've got to say this, I owe this opportunity to shine, to one woman, Leslie McNabb.

 She came back for me after 14 and half years because she saw the world had gotten to me; So she stayed and she believed in my abilities and brought me out of an incredible depression. I gave up completely on music, moved on to something different. I had faith in the Lord but no faith for myself until she came back to me and restored faith in myself... She's truly amazing, I really hope it's worth it to her. She's gone through a lot just to land here with me..

I am going to record everything I can, around the clock and make some damn good music. I can't be anything other than me... a musical machine. I spent so much of my life hoping and praying a band would  drop from the sky, well it didn't.  I realized I love recording songs and videos, it's a creative frontier  I don't desire to compete in the clubs and venues.  I want other things for myself.  So I don't need a band... but...

I'm making collaborative efforts this time around, I need backing vocalists, and musicians willing to blend their style with mine... So I took another leap of faith, on a girl I knew in high school who has the musical spirit, Wendy Nichol Hall.

 I asked her to sing with me on two of my best songs... "We're All Connected," and "Rest." Once we get those songs finished, I know everyone will understand our musical spirits. She hasn't told she'd do it, but she said, she was honored that I'd even ask her...

I want to inspire people to listen to their hearts and follow their dreams, it's everyones time to shine. I've been blessed with some damn good songs, so I am going to record them.  They are reminders to me the world can change you... don't fight it.... go for it. Believe in music and yourself...

It's exciting but I give fair warning, I'm going to show everyone I have the dream, the abilities and the drive to do it all... Thanks for reading and express yourself...
